The new Cult/The Simpsons 24-inch collaboration cruiser debuts at Interbike 2013.

BMX brand Cult Bicycles announced a complete bike collaboration with an unlikely partner earlier this week: the long-running Fox animated cartoon series The Simpsons. The collaboration, according to Cult owner Robbie Morales, includes a Cult-designed 24-inch complete cruiser bike featured in orange, including graphics inspired by the DUFF beer theme featured on The Simpsons.

"This bike is made from 6061 T-6 aluminum to keep the weight down and provide a stable, responsive ride. The component rundown is dialed and with the DUFFMAN logos, it looks awesome. It's definitely a bike you can thrash on or just cruise to the bar," said Morales about the collaboration.

According to Morales, Cult was approached by Alicom, the third-party licensing brand behind The Simpsons, at the Agenda Trade Show in Long Beach, Calif., in January. Cult art director Adam Roye, already a huge fan of The Simpsons, worked closely with the brand to create imagery that mirrored The Simpsons but also carried the minimalist themes of past complete bikes from Cult.

The complete bike features a 6061 T-6 aluminum frame with 21.6-inch top tube, chromoly forks and handlebars, a Cult Salvation stem, Cult Chase Dehart grips, Cult nylon pedals, an exclusive DUFF beer Pivotal seat, 175 mm three-piece chromoly cranks, a nine-tooth sealed cassette hub and Cult 410 chain.

The Simpsons Cult collaboration bike will debut at Interbike 2013 in Las Vegas on September 18.
