What's in Torin's bag?
Torin's Must-Have Gear
Torin Yater-Wallace may have exceptional skills in the halfpipe, but it also takes the right equipment to go all the way to gold status at the X Games. We asked Yater-Wallace for some of his must-have gear items when he heads out on the hill.
Armada Pipe Cleaner
The aptly-named Armada Pipe Cleaner is Torin Yater-Wallace's ski of choice for the halfpipe. "It's the perfect flex and has the right amount of pop for skiing in the halfpipe," he says.
Electric EGB2 TYW Goggle
Electric's EGB2 goggle has a Torin Yater-Wallace pro model version. "It's my signature line and it has perfect visual through the lens and I love my colors," he says.
Monster Cable iSport Victory
For listening to tunes in the halfpipe, Yater-Wallace chooses Monster's Cable iSport Victory headphones. "They have perfect sound and they fit under my helmet," he says.
Armada Classic Pullover Hoody
A team favorite from Armada, Yater-Wallace basically lives in his Armada Classic Pullover Hoody. "I just love hoodies when I ski," he says. "They're comfortable and easy to move in."
Giro Combyn Helmet
Giro's Combyn helmet has a high-tech softshell construction that offers the utmost in crash protection. "It's the most innovative helmet for skiing out there," Yater-Wallace says.
Armada Inrun Pant
Armada's Inrun pant offers "the perfect warmth and comfort while riding the pipe," Yater-Wallace says.
For energy during long training sessions, Yater-Wallace relies on only the essentials: Wild Strawberry Pop-Tarts and Red Bull. "Red Bull gives me wings, of course," he says. "And the Pop-Tarts are the perfect snack while riding to keep me going that's not heavy on my stomach."
Yater-Wallace doesn't go anywhere without his Target-engraved MacBook Pro laptop computer. "It helps me stay in touch with the world wherever I go," he says.
