Still life: Warp Wave in action
Welcome to Warp Wave
It's been just over a year since Eric Messier and Gray Thompson debuted the co-brainchild creative video zine that is Warp Wave, and in that time it's developed quite a cult following. The particular unique angle of their vision is why.
Messier may not see the mountain like a skatepark, but that doesn't mean he can't make skate-inspired tricks look good.
What you can't see in the photo of this super high production shoot are the three helis with Cineflex cameras hovering outside of the frame.
Of course, when you have a huge production budget you can afford to hire legends like Terje Haakonsen to film you.
Messier perfects his craft with a little Warp Wave voodoo logo creation.
At company meetings, sometimes you just have to lay it on the line.
Warp Wave friend Leland McNamara helps out. He's a professional, hence the fancy equipment.
In the end, what makes these guys great is the lengths they'll go to to really "get the shot."
