A few weeks prior to this shot, Eric Hennessey fastened a string of work lights to the ceiling of this drainage duct beneath an Austin, Texas, motorway. With each visit, Hennessey got better at reaching up into the over-vert, while photographer Brian Yeagle got better at positioning the generator so he didn't inhale the fumes.
"Julian has one of the best backside flips I've seen," says photographer Brian Gaberman. "I like the idea that he's totally surrounded by chaos, yet on the inside he's completely calm and focused. After all kinds of bad luck this year, James Stewart (7) made off with a sizable early lead in moto two at High Point in Mt. Morris, Pa., while Josh Grant and Ryan Dungey fought over second. Later in the race, though, while just in front of Dungey and points leader Ryan Villopoto, Stewart's bike had a mechanical issue and he was forced to pull out.

This was a classic Wasatch powder day at Snowbird, Utah, with three feet of fresh snow that stopped falling in the middle of the night. Sage Cattabriga-Alosa was home in Utah for just a few days and was lucky enough to time it right with the storm.

John John Florence's first trip to Fiji was perfect on several occasions. He showed little sign of intimidation and walked away with an impressive Fijian debut and a solid jump into the quarterfinals of the Volcom Fiji Pro with a handful of perfect scores.
These days it seems like skate spots in San Diego are hard to come by, especially in North County. This spot in Vista, Calif., has been here for quite some time, but now the bar has been cut and made to skate. Skater: Chris Troy.
"We were supposed to do a road trip around Mont Blanc but when we arrived in Chamonix, France, the snow was bulletproof," says photographer Mattias Fredriksson. "We heard it had snowed a lot in the south of the Alps so we headed down to Argentera in Italy. No people, lots of pow, great trees and only 40 kilometers from Monaco, where Henrik lives."
