About Spencer

Spencer O'Brien has been at the forefront of women's slopestyle snowboarding for years -- her first X Games appearance was at Aspen 2007. In 12 X Games appearances, Spencer has earned five total medals (1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze). She realized a childhood dream by winning Slopestyle gold at Aspen 2016, when she laid down a technical and stylish run that finally put her on top. The 28-year-old Canadian strives to progress not only her own riding, but women's snowboarding collectively: In 2016 she hosted "Views From the 7th," an all-women's progression session on an enormous kicker at her home mountain of Whistler, B.C.
