About Colten

Two-time Snowmobile Freestyle gold medalist Colten Moore will also compete in Best Trick at XG Aspen 2017, the first time the event has been contested since 2013. He's planning a double backflip for the occasion. Colten will be a favorite for gold in both events in 2017. He's also after another prize: his 2016 autobiography "Chasing the Sky" is a finalist for the 2017 PEN America / ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing.

  • 6 X Games medals: 3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze. Rough landings rattled him in 2016; he finished 8th in Freestyle.
  • XG Aspen 2017 will be his 8th XG appearance.
  • Aspen 2017 gold would make him the first with 3 Freestyle gold (Levi LaVallee and Joe Parsons also will vying for that honor at XG Aspen 2017).
