About Luan

Luan, a 25-year-old ripper from Brazil, stormed through his first X Games Street course in 2011, earning a silver medal. In 2013 he landed two silver medals (Munich and LA) and then added a silver at XG Austin '14. X Games didn't go his way in Austin in 2015 (6th place in), but almost everything else did: he won Tampa Pro, was the overall Street League Skateboarding points champion, and took 1st or 2nd place in just about every contest he entered. Next up? He has his heart set on stopping Nyjah Huston's streak to take his first XG gold in Oslo.

  • With 2 silver and 2 bronze in 9 XG appearances, he's the hungriest in the field for gold
  • 2015 overall Street League Skateboarding points champ, with wins in Los Angeles, New Jersey
  • Won Tampa Pro in March 2015 (had also won in 2013)
  • Won the 2015 Far N High contest in Paris, and his own Matriz Skate Pro in Brazil
  • 2nd place at Kimberley Diamon Cup in South Africa behind Nyjah Huston
  • Featured in The Berrics' 2015 documentary series "Push" featuring a groundbreaking new video part
  • Full part for Thrasher Magazine's "Mic Check" series, filmed entirely in Brazil and released Nov. 2015
