About Shane

Shane is a 26-year-old Aussie ripper known for video game-like technical combos, a soft-spoken demeanor and gentle personality. He got on Nike at the age of 14 and has been strategic about choosing sponsors ever since. His measured approach to skateboarding has allowed him to keep progressing at a steady clip to the point where his technical and overall skating abilities are virtually unmatched. Often tries hard tricks in contests even when easier (and more consistent) ones would do, a strategy which helped keep him off the XG podium until his silver at XG Oslo 2016. He won the two major comps after Oslo: Tampa Pro and the Barcelona Street League stop.

  • Silver at XG Oslo '16 behind Nyjah Huston, then won Tampa Pro the following month.
  • In Dec. 2015 he joined his friend and frequent competitor Paul Rodriguez as a team skater and part owner of Primitive Skateboards, with a new "Welcome to Primitive" video part to share the news.
  • Big following on social media (223k Twitter followers, 863k Instagram followers).
