About Mark

McMorris has been one of snowboarding's leading men since taking double gold in XG Slopestyle and Big Air in 2012. He repeated the feat in 2015, becoming the second snowboarder in history to earn double gold at a single XG event twice. He now has earned medals in an incredible 15 of 18 X Games starts (7 gold, 5 silver). Mark had a near-fatal crash in the Whistler backcountry in March 2017 but, just as he did after a broken femur in 2016, worked hard to return to the top: He won the first two contests he entered in the 2018 season as well as the Burton U.S. Open Slopestyle in March. He took Slopestyle bronze at both XG Aspen 2018 and the PyeongChang Olympics.
