On April 28, 2015, Josh made history when he landed the first triple backflip on a dirt bike, doing so at Travis Pastrana's Maryland compound. One of a handful of riders to land a double backflip, Sheehan used that trick to earn bronze at XG LA 2011 in Best Trick. He added QuarterPipe bronze in 2015. Josh is the only X Games athlete scheduled to compete in 4 disciplines (Best Whip, Best Trick, Freestyle and QuarterPipe) at Austin 2016. On Aug. 1, 2015, his older brother Chris died from injuries sustained while the two were trail riding in Australia.

  • Landed first triple backflip in history on April 28, 2015 at Travis Pastrana's house in Maryland. The stunt has nearly 12 million views on YouTube.
