About Mykel

At X Games Austin 2015, 28-year-old Larrin went from visiting his friend Chad Kagy at the hospital to his first XG podium, bronze, when he took Chad's spot in Big Air. Armed with a positive attitude and driven to constantly move forward, it's no surprise to those who know Mykel. He's become a skilled rider in all disciplines and a role model to young campers at Woodward. He loves to mentor kids and adults alike as a motivational speaker, and he travels overseas to give back to the U.S. Armed Forces as part of the Bikes Over Baghdad demo crew.

  • Earned his first XG medal (Big Air bronze) in 2015, going from the emergency room with Chad Kagy to take Chad's spot in the event.
  • XG Austin 2016 will be his 6th X Games. Competed 5 times in BMX Vert in addition to his first Big Air appearance in 2015.
  • Bikes Over Baghdad rider; travels overseas to entertain US troops. Leaves for a tour 2 days after Austin 2016.
  • May 2015: 3rd overall, Kia World Extreme Games, Vert & Mini Mega
