Robinson's career nearly ended in 2009 when he was a teenager. A horrible crash at the Indy Mile crushed his right hip, hip socket, pelvis, and broke his lower back, but in 2013 he earned his first career wins with victories at Daytona and two in the Springfield Mile. In 2015 he made the X Games Final but bike trouble caused him to DNF (12th). In 2016, with Kennedy Racing, he switched from a Triumph 995cc back to a Harley-Davidson XR-750 and finished in 6th. Robinson is a finesse rider that relies on throttle control. "I'm the type of rider that likes to go slow to go fast," says Robinson.
