For rookie X Games Mono Skier Jerome Elbrycht, his trip to Aspen holds many firsts: it is his first time racing since 2012, his first time racing in a side-by-side competition, and this is the first time the Frenchman has ever visited the United States. Jerome learned how to sit ski in 1999 after a skateboarding accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, and has been practicing the sport ever since. The 47-year-old is hoping his 17 years of sit ski experience and his skills as a professional wakeboarder will benefit him in the X course.
