Despite braces on her teeth and girly stickers on her board, Brighton -- who turned 13 the day before the Women's Skateboard Park Final in Minneapolis -- is a fearless ripper. She just missed the podium as an 11-year-old rookie at XG Austin '16, the youngest woman ever to compete at X Games and the 4th-youngest athlete ever. Has a vert ramp in her backyard in Encinitas and has some big wins in recent months, taking the 2016 Vans Pro Park Series World Championship in Malmo, SWE, and the 2016 Exposure Pro Bowl title before winning the Boise Park Qualifier in June. The Boise victory punched her ticket to X Games Minneapolis 2017, which culminated with her first gold medal victory.
