Frendly Gathering 2014
Burton team riders Jack Mitrani (left) and Danny Davis have been Frends for years, but they joined forces to make the Frendly Gathering an offseason reality in 2011 and haven't looked back since.
Welcome To Vermont
Last weekend's Frendly Gathering is a three-day music festival at Timber Ridge Ski Area in southern Vermont. Mitrani and Davis started the festival as a way to bring their shared passions for music, the outdoors, the environment and the ideals of Frendship to the masses.
In the vendor village, or "The Jungle," festivalgoers could find sunscreen, T-shirts and Frendly merch, as well as tapestries, patchwork regalia, dream catchers and a tree pointing the way to good vibes central.
Between Two Trees
Festival revelers stacked their hammocks two-high to take in Green Mountain views and one of 30 bands playing over three days.
No stranger to Frendly Gatherings, Providence, Rhode Island's Deer Tick returned to the Frendly stage to play songs off their 2013 album "Negativity." Deer TIck had performed there in 2012.
Each morning, upward of 75 people would gather at the Jenke Arts barn to practice yoga. If that wasn't your thing, there was also meditation, belly dancing and oh-so-much hula-hooping.

Danny Davis might be a gold-medal winning X Games pipe star and a member of the 2014 U.S. Olympic halfpipe team, but he's also fully committed to moonlighting as an event producer. Just peep the radio; it's all business.
Don't let the golf cart fool you. Jack Mitrani is no slouch. In four years, the Gathering has morphed into a full-scale festival production, and these dudes stay busy year-round.
Among the many activities on site were games such as Stump, which involves hammer-tossing and nails, and Frendly-branded Cornhole.
Skis at a snowboard tribe gathering? Don't worry, they serve a good purpose; they're only shot-skis.
Get Away From It All
Burton snowboards creative director Evan Rose feeds the fire, handing out guitars and lighting candles in the multiuse Burton teepee.
Peace, Love and Skateboarding
Every festival should have a mini-ramp that's free and open to the public. This one did, and Andrew Fiorella took advantage. And, in the name of all things positive, even scooters were allowed to ride.
In The Dome
Davis and Mitrani are both passionate musicians and ambassadors for Martin guitars. This geodesic dome was host to open mic sets and an acoustic showcase, featuring groups like the Devesh Duo, pictured here.
On Timber Pond
This is the pond where the Frends crew used to camp at back in the day. Last weekend, it's where spectators went to cool off and wait for some Twiddle action.
Frends 'Til The End
Speaking of Frends, here are three of the OGs from the crew: From the back, Luke Mitrani, Jack in the middle and Danny Davis in front, taking a break to swap pins.
Working For It
In the spirit of snowboarding, ticket holders had to bus over to Timber Ridge from nearby Magic Mountain, then hike up to camp at the side of the mountain.
San Diego to Brooklyn indie rock darlings Delta Spirit brought the noise Friday night on the main stage.
Mitrani and Davis take a break in front of FG HQ, the lodge at Timber Ridge, between bringing vendors wood chips to keep mud at bay and other such fun administrative tasks.
Over And Out
The sun has set on another successful gathering. Until 2015, starry Vermont nights!
